 The 67th Daytona 500, held on February 16, 2025, experienced a significant weather delay of nearly three and a half hours, causing the race to conclude under the lights at Daytona International Speedway. Despite the interruptions, William Byron secured his second consecutive Daytona 500 victory, making him the first back-to-back winner since Denny Hamlin in 2019-2020. This triumph also marked the 10th Daytona 500 win for Hendrick Motorsports, setting a new record

The race was marked by multiple incidents, including a major crash with five laps remaining that led to Ryan  flipping mid-air, resulting in an overtime finish. Byron skillfully navigated through the chaos, ultimately emerging victorious. Tyler Reddick finished second, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Chase Briscoe, and John Hunter  rounding out the top five.
